Today marked a proper start to this project, I disassembled the locomotive and tender entirely to fully understand the condition its in. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of most of it.

I hadn't though to test it prior, probably because the locomotive was missing some wiring and its pilot, but the motor does run decently well!

I went to a friend's house today to help him with model/electrical issues. As thanks he gave me a few small items, including this old Bachmann winter Village Express 4-4-0 and coach! I really love 4-4-0s, so getting one in any condition is always fun for me. Its in rough shape, and could use some work. I think my plan is to use it to learn how to do more in-depth detailing on an era accurate (to an extent) 4-4-0. This'll be a side project mostly, so I don't expect it to be updated super often.
